Isaiah 66:8
The Nation of Israel

Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.

Isaiah 66:8

God has an end-time plan for Israel that was written millenia before the headlines today. Prophets predicted the complete destruction of the nation, including the Siege of Jerusalem in the first century when Israel lost all form of sovereignty as a nation., and the people scattered in what is known as the diaspora. For the next two millenia, the Jewish people maintained their cultural heritage but had no homeland. Then, in 1941, Hitler began his extermination program which killed over 6 million people, mostly Jews. Before beginning the killing, he asked the other nations if they would help with the 'Jewish Problem', but all nations refused. America was fighting her own race wars with Jim Crow in full swing. Perhaps it felt too hipocrital to help. Perhaps they just didn't care. Either way, Hitler took this as permission to carry out the bloodshed. When the war ended, an event which has never happened in the course of history took place: a nation was born in a day. On May 14, 1948, the Nation of Israel was established, or rather, re-established. While this was remarkable in and of itself, even more remarkable were the prophecies throughout the Old Testiment and the Gospels which described these events perfectly. Jesus describes this return as a signal that the End will take place within this generation (Mark 13:28-31).

The following prophecies are to be completed within a lifetime of the Nation of Israel returning home.

  • 7 year covenant of peace (Daniel 12:11)
  • Abomination of Desolation (Daniel 12:11)
  • Tribulation (also called The Day of the Lord and The Day of Wrath; consists of 7 seals, 7 trumpets, and 7 bowls). God will judge Israel and judge sin. Some will turn to Jesus during this time and be martyred.
  • Israel will recognize their Messiah (Matthew 24:15-33)

As we see violent weather patterns. wars, violence, and destruction, Jesus tells us,

"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Luke 21:28
